This place is TOTALLY different from the other places I have inhabited since moving to Portland. There is LIGHT, COMFORT and SPACE.
There is also pretty good sound insulation between the houses (I have one common side). The price is right too. Windows at the front face south and there are windows to the rear that overlook a well kept vacant lot to the north. A small balcony off the dining area is home to my bar-b-que.
I have a renewable 6-month lease and room to hang my large art pieces. I have almost finished installing the HiFi even the turntable. Just need to add 10lbs of sand to the speakers, level one speaker and the amp rack and I should be set. It does not sound as lively as Harrison Avenue but it is not too shabby. Almost Heaven.
